vivo V80 Lite goes on nationwide sale with P24,999 starting price

vivo Philippines has made the V80 Lite 5G available nationwide, offering a smartphone with a 10,000-milliampere-hour (mAh) battery and durability features at a starting price of P24,999.

The company said customers who preordered the device can claim their units at vivo stores nationwide. The smartphone is also available for purchase through physical stores, the vivo e-store and the vivo Store app.

The V80 Lite 5G’s battery capacity is a key feature, particularly for users who rely on their phones throughout the day for navigation, messaging, mobile payments and other applications.

According to vivo, the device’s BlueVolt battery has been tested to last more than a day under specified usage conditions. Its reverse-charging capability can also supply power to compatible devices, including other smartphones and mini fans.

Battery technology designed for hot conditions

The V80 Lite 5G uses a second-generation semi-solid electrolyte battery, which vivo says is designed to provide stable performance under demanding temperature conditions.

The company cited the Philippines’ hot weather and potential electricity supply pressures as considerations for consumers choosing smartphones. However, it cautioned that no battery is immune to extreme temperatures.

The device has also undergone military-grade durability testing, along with tests for drops, dust, water, scratches and everyday wear. These tests are intended to assess its resistance to common hazards, although they do not mean the phone is indestructible.

“The vivo V80 Lite was developed with the realities of everyday life in mind, especially for Filipinos who depend on their phones from the start of the day until they get home,” said Liu Lu, vivo Philippines brand marketing director.

“With its large battery, heat-focused battery technology, and tested durability, we want to give consumers practical features they can consider when choosing their next device,” Liu added.

The nationwide availability expands consumers’ access to the device, which is positioned for users who need extended battery capacity and durability for commuting, outdoor work and other daily activities.
