Smart Communications Inc. began accepting preorders for the iPhone Duo on Oct. 16, offering Apple’s first foldable smartphone through postpaid plans starting at P6,304 per month.
Preorders are available from 8 p.m. to 11:59 p.m. on Oct. 16 through the Smart online preorder portal. Customers who miss the window will be placed on a waitlist, the telecommunications company said.
Smart Infinity members can also place orders through their relationship managers or by dialing *800.
The iPhone Duo is available with Smart Postpaid Plans+ 1999, with eligible customers able to pay through zero-interest credit card installments for up to 24 months with select banks.
The plan includes an open-line device, an Unli App bundle of the subscriber’s choice, 12 months of Unli 5G, Open Access Data and high priority on the Smart network. Existing Smart Postpaid subscribers renewing their plans can choose payment terms of up to 36 months, charged to their postpaid bills.
Customers who successfully preorder the device can receive 18 gigabytes of free Open Access Data valid for three months, a P5,000 discount voucher for selected Smart accessories and an 18 percent discount on selected third-party Digimap accessories.
Customers who preorder through the Smart Online Store will also receive a complimentary AirTag, while those ordering the device with Smart Prepaid will receive a free eSIM.
Smart Infinity offers premium plans
Smart Infinity is offering the iPhone Duo through plans starting with Infinity Plan 5000, alongside Infinity Roam+ options that provide up to 40GB of roaming data valid for 365 days.
Customers can also consider the Infinity Plus Plan 9500, which includes one primary line and two supplementary lines.
Smart Infinity members have access to personalized services, including worldwide lifestyle assistance through Infinity Concierge, 24-hour hotline support, partner offers through the Infinity Collection, dedicated relationship managers and priority assistance at Smart stores nationwide.
Foldable design and Apple ecosystem integration
The iPhone Duo features a 7.6-inch inner display and a 5.4-inch outer display. Its foldable design supports features including Duo Preview, Smart Take and Split View, while the A20 Pro chip, advanced camera system and all-day battery are designed to deliver high-end smartphone capabilities in a foldable form factor.
Smart also offers Device Link, a service that allows customers to connect multiple compatible Apple devices to a single Smart Postpaid account.
The service enables Apple Watch users to access calls, text messages and mobile data even when their iPhones are not nearby. Smart Postpaid subscribers can sign up for Smart Device Link for P199 per month, charged to their postpaid bills.
Smart said its 5G network was recently recognized by connectivity intelligence company Ookla for delivering the Philippines’ best mobile video experience in the first half of 2026, with a reported Video Score of 72.82.
The iPhone Duo preorder announcement combines device financing, data allocations and accessory incentives as telecommunications operators use bundled services to attract and retain subscribers upgrading to premium smartphones.
