Smart Communications is offering discounted travel eSIM data packages through its Smart Travē app, with rates for selected plans reduced by up to 43 percent for Filipinos traveling abroad during the holiday season.
The promotional rates cover destinations in more than 100 countries and territories, giving travelers an option for mobile data connectivity without purchasing a physical SIM card upon arrival.
Under the offer, Smart Travē’s 3-gigabyte data package is priced at $5.75, down from $10, while the 10GB package costs $12, reduced from $20. A 1GB package is also available for $3.
The discounts translate to savings of 42.5 percent for the 3GB package and 40 percent for the 10GB package, based on the prices provided by Smart.
Smart Travē is a travel eSIM service backed by Smart, with access to the telecommunications company’s local customer support. Users can contact Smart’s hotline for assistance while abroad, the company said.

Smart first vice president and officer in charge Lloyd R. Manaloto said the service extends the company’s connectivity offering to customers traveling outside the Philippines.
The app allows users to select their destination, choose a data package, purchase it and activate the eSIM on a compatible device. The setup is intended to provide mobile data access without requiring travelers to find a local physical SIM card or rely on public Wi-Fi networks.
Mobile connectivity can help travelers access maps, transportation updates, hotel bookings, digital boarding passes and translation tools, while also allowing them to communicate with family and friends.
