OPPO is positioning its Reno16 Series 5G smartphone and Watch S smartwatch as complementary devices for mobile photography, fitness tracking and everyday connectivity, combining camera features with wrist-based notifications and sports monitoring.
The Reno16 Series 5G, which is now available in the Philippines, features the company’s Pocket Studio imaging experience, while the Watch S provides access to calls, messages, music controls and fitness data without requiring users to constantly check their phones.
The Reno16 5G has four 50-megapixel cameras: an Ultra-Clear Main Camera, a Telephoto Portrait Camera, an Ultra Wide Camera and an Ultra-Wide Selfie Camera. The combination is designed to accommodate different shooting scenarios, from portraits and group photos to landscapes and travel photography.
The phone also offers Pop Cam effects, including Digicam, Instant Film and Light Leak, through its native camera application. AI Remix Collage and Motion Photo Popout 2.0 provide additional tools for creating and editing images for social media.
The smartphone runs ColorOS 16, which includes AI Mind Space for collecting and organizing information across activities. Nano Second Smooth is designed to improve responsiveness when switching between applications, while O+ Connect supports file sharing between compatible OPPO devices and iPhones.
The Watch S focuses on notifications and activity tracking. According to OPPO, it supports more than 100 sports modes, including 12 professional sports modes that provide more detailed performance data.
Its Pro Running Mode combines dual-band GPS with running posture analysis, fat-burn tracking and lactate-threshold insights. Users can review activity information on a paired Reno16 Series 5G smartphone after completing a workout.
The smartwatch also allows users to access calls and messages from their wrists and control music playing on the phone, reducing the need to handle the handset during activities.
OPPO Watch S is available through the company’s online store in Phantom Black for P9,999 and Silver Gleam for P10,999.
